<h4><strong>WHAT IS THE NEAR PATIENT PROGRAM (NPP)?</strong></h4>
<p>Under the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ2021 contract, International SOS delivers the Near Patient Program (NPP) in ten locations around the globe: Bahrain, Benelux (Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg), Germany, Greece, Italy, Japan, Poland, Romania, South Korea, and Spain. The NPP further strengthens the collaboration between ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Providers and International SOS to focus on the beneficiary’s experience of care and ensure Clinical Quality. </p>

<h4><strong>WHO ARE THE NEAR PATIENT TEAMS? </strong></h4>
<p>NPP Teams or the Local Care Teams are in-country medical professionals who assist beneficiaries navigate the overseas health care system. ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ beneficiaries can often experience cultural and language barriers that impede their understanding of care. The NPP Teams work with ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Providers, ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ beneficiaries, and where applicable Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs), TRICARE Area Offices (TAOs), and the Combatant Commands (CCMDs) to address medical and cultural questions, facilitating a positive patient experience, and ensuring quality health care services.</p>
